Terminal Care Tips
We all know you should avoid dropping your payment terminal to avoid damage, but what else can you do to keep it in good working order?
Here are some tips to keep it in tip-top shape and avoid downtime:
- Keep your Smartpay protective silicone cover on your terminal at all times, especially if you are in a dusty or wet environment.
- Do not place the terminal in direct sunlight or a location where it could overheat.
- Take care when plugging in and unplugging charging cables.
- Keep the terminal and charging accessories away from liquids and do not charge if the adapter cable is dirty or wet.
- When installing paper rolls, please be aware of the cutter within the paper well.
When to call us for help:
- If electric wire, plugs or power adapters are damaged. Please do not use the terminal.
- If the terminal is defective or any of the parts become overheated. Please turn it off immediately.
- If battery failure happens due to overheating, distortion or other damages.
Where required, we will send a new terminal to you. If you are ever unsure, just contact our friendly support team for help.
